Life and Pension Administrator / Account Executive

Leicester (Our Ref AL810)

Salary £22,000 - £26,000 + generous benefits and discretionary bonus scheme


My client is a very well established Chartered IFA, Pensions and Investments company and they now have an exciting new vacancy for an experienced Life and Pensions Administrator to join their team.



·         Provide a quality administration service in respect of the range of Corporate and Individual products serviced by the Life and Pensions Team:

Group Pensions – Money Purchase, Final Salary, Group Personal Pension, Stakeholder & Auto-Enrolment/Workplace Schemes

Employee Benefits – Group Life / PHI / Critical Illness

Annuities – CPA, OMO, PLA

Individual life and protection contracts (term, whole of life, endowments, PHI, critical illness)

Individual Pensions – Stakeholder, Personal Pensions, Pension Transfers, S32 Buyout Bonds, Retirement Annuity Contracts, Phased Retirement and Pension Fund Withdrawals

·         Provide technical and administrative support to the Account Adviser

·         Maintain records that meet the requirements of the firm, the FCA and the Pensions Regulator

·         Provide an in house point of contact for the client

·         Maintain a good working relationship with Corporate clients via regular communications


The Ideal Person:


·         GCSE English Language – Grade B or above (or equivalent)

·         GCSE Maths – Grade B or above (or equivalent)

·         Experience in a client servicing and administration role

·         Financial services experience, in a similar role, ideally for a financial adviser firm is desirable

·         Familiarity with Iress Adviser Office software would be an advantage



·         Knowledge of life and pension products and a good broad knowledge of financial services in general

·         Ability to communicate effectively with clients and product providers via various methods – phone, letter, fax, e-mail, memo, etc.

·         Knowledge of pension scheme and other financial services legislation relevant to the role

·         Knowledge of in-house money laundering procedures

·         Knowledge of FCA compliance procedures and Data Protection legislation

·         Ability to operate an effective diary system

·         Ability to create and maintain an effective online filing system and computer based records

·         IT / keyboard skills and good letter and report writing skills

·         Good telephone manner
