General Insurance Adviser

Near Solihull (our Ref AL780)

Salary £19,000 + benefits – Temporary role (12 month contract), with potential to go permanent

 

My client is a very well established and financial services company, providing advice and assistance to both Corporate and Private Clients.  They have an exciting new vacancy for a General Insurance Adviser to join their pro-active Head Office Team near Solihull.

 

Role Objective

·         To provide a high quality, compliant advice service to network clients through appropriate research and recommendations of B&C products suitable for the client. 

·         To provide existing customers with a high quality, compliant advice service to maximise each transaction in order to deliver business income targets, ensuring that amended and renewed business is processed in line with agreed department procedures and turnaround times.

 

Day to Day

·         Progress renewals with the objective of identifying re-quote opportunities and converting these to deliver good consumer outcomes and contribute towards a profitable business.

·         Follow the network’s advice process and procedures ensuring that appropriate compliant advice is provided and correct paperwork submitted in line with regulatory requirements.

·         Provide quotations in line with customer needs

·         Management of the renewal reports to deliver the administration, premium collection and customer service required to achieve agreed business levels.

·         Minimise customer attrition by identifying potential leavers and actively adopting renewal retention strategy.

·         Compliantly process customer payments

Knowledge

·         Working knowledge of general insurance products

·         Regulatory requirements for the process and advice of commercial products

·         Performing an insurance administration role within a busy working environment

·         Complaint handling

 

Experience - Preferable

·         Recommending and advising on general insurance products

·         Sales experience in General Insurance 

 

Qualifications

·         Good Standard of Education (5 GCSE’s or equivalent grade C or above) (Essential)

·         Any Insurance related qualifications (Desirable)
