My client provides financial planning advice to families and businesses throughout Derbyshire and beyond, particularly those with complex needs. They build long term, trusted relationships, and strive to provide their clients with a dedicated and quality service. As a Chartered Financial Planning firm, they work with quality clients and their standards are high.

 

There is currently a vacancy for a Financial Services Administrator, full time role based in their offices in Derby. The salary and benefits package will be dependent on your experience and abilities. The role is flexible as to experience level and would suit a school/college leaver as an alternative to university, recent graduates looking to join financial services or an experienced administrator/paraplanner looking to develop within a high quality niche financial planning firm.

Responsibilities

·         Prepare valuations of clients’ investment and pension plans.

·         General Administration tasks such as office maintenance, stock control, post, dictations

·         Produce new business illustrations.

·         Submit and progress new business applications.

·         Attend client meetings on occasion and produce attendance notes.

·         Liaise with clients and keep them well informed.

·         Liaise with third parties such as life companies and investment managers.

·         Maintain internal registers and databases.

·         Assist in the continual improvement of our processes.

·         Assist the team with other tasks as required

Knowledge and experience

·         Some experience in administration or a financial services background desirable.

·         Proven ability to think on your feet and come up with solutions to problems.

·         Holding or studying towards relevant qualifications such as the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning would be an advantage. Desire to study essential.

·         A history of being able to communicate to different types of people clearly and confidently.

·         Excellent written work, with proven ability to prepare work without errors.

·         Good numeracy skills with experience of using spreadsheets.

·         Experience with Intelligent Office and provider websites desirable.
